Carter Kovalcik, DPT, PES, is a physical therapist and performance specialist. He is a former collegiate baseball player who pitched at North Carolina Central University, where he developed a strong foundation in high-level throwing mechanics and athletic performance.
Carter earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Oakland University and holds a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) certification, allowing him to integrate clinical rehabilitation with strength and performance-based training. He also trained under Ed Martel, founder of the Overhead Athletic Institute, further refining his approach to throwing athlete rehabilitation and biomechanics.

He is a published researcher in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy, with work focused on shoulder instability in overhead athletes, contributing to the broader understanding of injury mechanisms and rehabilitation strategies in baseball players.
