Kyle Suminski PT, DPT

Kyle is an OAI Certified Physical Therapist and former collegiate outfielder. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State Univeristy and his Bachelor’s of Science from Ohio Dominican University. Kyle also currently coaches youth federation (travel) baseball.

Ryan Vinson PT, MPT, OMPT

Ryan is our Medical Assessment Director. He completed his Master’s of Physical Therapy degree, Bachelor’s of Science degree, and Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy specialist certificate at Oakland University. Ryan is also certified through Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and through Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). Ryan is an instructor for the OAI Continuing Education Course for medical professionals.

Max Wardell SPT, BS, CSCS, CAFS, HMS

Max is the Director of Medical Throwing at the OAI and is an OAI Certified Trainer. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Oakland University. Max pitched collegiately at Concordia University Ann Arbor. He completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration on Exercise Science at Oakland University and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Max also has a certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS) through the Gray Institute and is a certified Human Movement Specialist (HMS) through the Brookbush Institute.

Carter Kovalcik SPT, BS, PES

Carter is an OAI Certified Throwing Instructor and OAI Certified Trainer having 12 years of mentoring experience under Ed Martel. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Oakland University. Carter pitched in the NCAA Division 1 collegiate level at North Carolina Central University where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. Carter is also a certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES).
